THE auction of 12 more blocks this Sunday will mark the second stage of the Shearwater Landing estate at Greenhills Beach.
Six are oceanfront blocks of more than 786 square metres along Shorebird Parade, providing uninterrupted vistas of Bate Bay.
The other six are elevated blocks with water views over Botany Bay and range in size from 635 square metres to 733 square metres.
The 13-hectare Shearwater Landing site has been owned for 66 years by the Breen family.
"We are mindful of the demand for land in Sydney, so we are releasing the lots progressively over a six to nine-month period," said Breen Property chief executive Tom Breen.
"We are not allowing the land to be bought by developers because we want families to have the chance to build their dream home or coastal retreat here."
Shearwater Landing comprises 160 lots," he said.
The prized oceanfront blocks near Wanda beach are expected to sell at auction for more than $2 million.
Part of the development consent for the estate was the formation of 91 hectares of landscaped public parklands that Breen Property is creating in a joint venture, which will include 10 full-size playing fields and a skateboard park at a cost of $25 million.
The May 17 auction will be held on site at 10.30am by Savills Residential Projects.
