CRONULLA coach Shane Flanagan has made a number of changes to his side to play the Gold Coast on Saturday.
Injuries to Ricky Leutele (shoulder) and Anthony Tupou (broken jaw) have seen Flanagan make alterations to the Sharks team beaten 20-16 by the New Zealand Warriors.
Cronulla will look to break their two-match losing streak against the Titans with a big month of football ahead.
After the trip to the Gold Coast, the Sharks have a bye before a local derby at Kogarah Oval against St George Illawarra and a difficult home match against the Sydney Roosters.
A win against the struggling Titans, smashed 56-16 by the Raiders in Canberra last time out, would be welcomed by Cronulla who have slipped to 14th on the ladder after consecutive losses.
There is some good news for the Sharks on the injury front with David Fifita to make a comeback from a broken leg while Blake Ayshford and Michael Gordon also return.
Meanwhile, speculation has grown this week that Gordon was to be released to join Parramatta only for Cronulla to renege on the agreement.
But the Sharks said in a statement on Monday night that the club had not given Gordon's management permission to negotiate a contract with another club or release him from his 2015 contract.
The club declined to make any further comment.
