KOGARAH'S involvement in the Sydney Writers' Festival on Wednesday. May 20, will include a talk by Frank Brennan.
Father Brennan is a Jesuit priest and a professor of law and adjunct professor in Indigenous studies.
He was awarded the Order of Australia (AO) for services to Aboriginal Australians, especially as an advocate in law, social justice and reconciliation.
He will discuss his new book on reconciliation, No Small Change - The Road to Reconciliation for Indigenous Australia.
The book has been described as a vital contribution to the understanding of Indigenous affairs.
It generated a crucial debate on how history should be acknowledged and how this could make a difference to Indigenous Australians today. The Sydney Writers' Festival is Australia's largest literature event.
The talk will be from 6.30pm to 8pm at Kogarah Library.
