FORMED in the Woolooware High School music room where all four were students, the group Fripps & Fripps quickly found an affinity for live performance.
During the summer of 2013, the band members received their first real gig as a support act for a blues group.
Fripps & Fripps consist of Bailey Stevenson on lead vocals and guitar, Jacob Ingram on backing vocals and lead guitar, Michael Tran on piano and bass and Keith Anderson on drums and percussion.
Their next highlight was playing at the 2015 Australia Day festival at Cronulla.
Anderson said that day changed their approach to their music.
"The hunger from this gig led to the drive and motivation to write original material," he said.
The group wrote their debut original — Maria — and performed in April at the Brass Monkey, Cronulla.
Within the month, they performed Maria again, supporting One Foot in the Groove.
"Today, we are are more indie rock/pop sort of feel," Anderson said.
Fripps & Fripps, Zac Olsen and Revienne will be at Brass Monkey on Sunday, May 24.
