Clean-up unKempt Field
The article in part discussed the "poor" state of Kempt Field in Allawah. I live close to this park and admire how the park is often used by residents in many ways including walking, playing boules, soccer and organised fitness sessions.
The state of the footpaths and the walking track, especially adjoining Roberts Lane are very poor. These areas are much in need of maintenance.
Then, I read another recent Leader article which mentioned that Hurstville Council and the East Quarter property developer had entered into an agreement in December, 2011 to spend $350,000 on Kempt Field.
The first stage of the East Quarter development was completed over 12 months ago. When will the council start spending some of this $350,000 on the urgent maintenance that is required? Surely, we don't have to wait for Stage 2 of this development to be completed?
