Sutherland has missed the chance to keep touch with the top five after being held to a 1-1 draw with Parramatta on Wednesday night, May 20.
Seongjin Park gave the Sharks the lead after 18 minutes at Milita Stadium before Marco Sama equalised for the hosts 14 minutes later.
The draw leaves Sutherland in seventh place on 11 points, six points behind fifth-placed Bonnyrigg.
The match was a rescheduled round four fixture.
The Sharks face a tough test on Saturday night, May 23, when they host defending champions Blacktown City at Seymour Shaw.
Rockdale City travel west to take on Bonnyrigg on Saturday night.
Both games kick off at 7.30pm.
