A Punchbowl man, 37, has been charged with weapons and drugs offences after a car search at Riverwood on Thursday, May 21.
St George police stopped a black Ford Falcon ute on Washington Avenue at 12.30pm.
Checks revealed the driver had an outstanding warrant against him.
During a search of the man they found a hunting knife in his pants.
They also seized methylamphetamines during a search of his car.
He was arrested and taken to Kogarah police station where he was charged with driving while a licence application had been refused, possessing a prohibited weapon and possessing a prohibited drug.
He was also charged over the outstanding warrant for unrelated matters.
The man was refused bail to appear in Sutherland Court today.
