The Sounds of the Suburbs music festival could return to Cronulla in September.
The event’s organisers, the Space 44 consortium of artists, have applied to Sutherland Shire Council to run the event in Wilbar Lane, Cronulla on Sunday, September 27.
A report by the council’s communications department recommends the council approve the event.
Aimed at people aged 18 to 24, the Sounds of the Suburbs music festival was first held in 2013 and again in 2014 and attracted more than 600 participants each year.
While there were some noise complaints from residents living in Wilbar Avenue and St Andrew Place, the organisers have worked with the council to reduce any impacts.
The matter will be considered at the next council meeting.
