SUTHERLAND Shire Netball Association held its annual Crazy Hair and Sock Day on Saturday at the Bellingara Road, Miranda netball courts.
The association’s 500 junior teams took part in the cancer fundraiser.
Players from the teams were encouraged to dress up with crazy hair styles and coloured socks and to donate a gold coin to help give hope to children with cancer.
Association secretary Vicki Morris praised everyone’s participation.
“Congratulations and thank you to all who participated in and donated to the Crazy Hair and Sock Day,’’ secretary Vicki Morris said. ‘‘We raised $5204.’’
Morris said funds raised would go towards a number of vital research projects funded by The Kids’ Cancer Project.
