A Hurstville man, 31, was one of five men arrested after an investigation into the supply of the drug ice in Sydney.
On Monday, May 25, police arrested a Greenacre man, 31, at his home and a North Parramatta man, 32, at his Mosman worksite.
Seven search warrants were then executed on homes at Greenacre, Hurstville, Campsie, Balmain, Bankstown, North Parramatta and Marrickville.
During the search a Balmain man, 54, was arrested at his house.
A Chippendale man, 20, and Hurstville man, 31, were arrested later that day.
During the raids, police found around one kilogram of ice, cutting agent, drug paraphernalia, encrypted mobile phones and $130,000 cash.
That is in addition to the more than one kilogram of ice that had been seized previously.
The five men were each charged with supplying a greater than commercial quantity of prohibited drugs and participating in a criminal group. They were all were refused bail.
The Balmain and Chippendale men will appear in Downing Centre Court today.
The Greenacre man will appear in Burwood Court today while the Hurstville and North Parramatta men will appear in Central Court today.
Organised Crime commander Detective Superintendent Scott Cook said the priority was to ‘‘impact on the business model of organised crime networks’’.
“We are taking their cash to impact their cash flow; we are arresting their facilitators, brokers and drug suppliers,” he said.
‘‘We will continue to work with our partners to impact the top levels of organised crime networks.”
