As a father Glenn Murray of Yarrawarrah was impressed by the way the Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick looked after his son Aaron when he had a spinal cord injury in 2010.
As a musician Mr Murray showed his gratitude to the hospital by running a musical fundraiser each year for the past three years.
With all the caring Aaron received he has been able to attend St Patrick’s College, Sutherland, but that hasn’t stopped his dad still wanting to say thanks to the hospital.
Mr Murray is again staging a Bands for Kids charity fundraiser with five bands playing for free.
Funds raised on the night will be in addition to money going to the Sydney Children’s Hospital Gold Telethon on June 8.
Bands for Kids will be on tonight, Friday, at Carmen’s in Miranda Hotel, starting 7pm.
