A man, 36, remains in a serious but stable condition after he was hit by a truck at Penshurst on Thursday.
He was hit by a northbound truck as he crossed King Georges Road, near the intersection with Percival Street.
It comes after the male truck driver, 53, was discharged after his truck and a smaller vehicle collided about midday at the intersection of the Princes Highway and Carwar Street, Blakehurst.
THURSDAY
A man has died and another person was seriously injured in two separate road accidents in St George this afternoon.
A truck and a smaller vehicle collided about midday at the intersection of the Princes Highway and Carwar Street, Blakehurst.
The driver of the smaller vehicle died at the scene.
About 20 minutes later at Penshurst, another man was hit by a northbound truck as he crossed King Georges Road, near the intersection with Percival Street.
Paramedics treated him at the scene and he was taken in a serious condition to St George Hospital.
Both truck drivers will have mandatory blood and urine tests.
All northbound lanes on King Georges Road are blocked and northbound traffic is being directed into one of the southbound lanes.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area or find an alternate route.
