Letter: At $100 a spot, paint used to mark out parking bays must be gold-plated

Re "Marked spots to improve parking" (Leader, June 18). Great news that painted parking bays are to become part of the shire. At a cost of $100 for each painted parking bay, may I suggest the council contractors use white paint and not gold-plated markings — otherwise call for tenders.
