THE Recreation Sport and Aquatics Club (RSAC) has a school holiday program at Rockdale PCYC for children with a disability.
The program will be held from 10am to 11.30am on Monday, July 6, and Friday, July 10.
Children will be taught basketball and cricket skills.
RSAC founder and swimming coach Jenny Bombardieri, of Penshurst, said it would be a great opportunity for parents to network and share tips about raising children with a disability.
RSAC, based at Bankstown, was established 30 years ago and is a community organisation that provides sporting and social activities for children and adults with a disability.
Ms Bombardieri said the holiday program was a great chance for young people with a disability to learn new skills and make friends.
"The respite benefits are there too," she said.
A $2000 grant from Earlwood-Bardwell Park RSL Club is enabling RSAC to run the activity.
"We're hoping to establish this as an ongoing program," Ms Bombardieri said.
The program costs $5 a day for each participant.
RSAC relies on corporate and community donations and does not receive any ongoing government assistance.
