THIS year marks the 20th anniversary of National Tree Day and Sutherland Shire residents are invited to help plant native saplings on Sunday, July 26.
Bushcare will host a planting session at Wanda, at the southern end of the Green Hills car park opposite the Don Lucas Reserve playground.
At 20R Freya Street, Kareela, residents will plant native shrubs; meet at the playground.
There will be gloves, tools and equipment for planting; volunteers should wear old clothes and bring a water bottle.
