Cronulla CBD has had a makeover so that ice-skaters can enjoy a winter wonderland by the beach.
An ice rink — which is 70 per cent bigger than last year's — will remain open until Sunday, July 12.
On Saturday there were 215 skaters, and 230 on Sunday.
There are free "learn-to-skate" penguin props to provide stability and confidence for children trying the recreation for the first time.
The ice rink is at the pavilion stage in Cronulla Street, and open from 9.30am until 5pm, Sunday to Thursday, and 9.30am until 7pm, Friday and Saturday.
