A man, 34, is under police guard in hospital after he forced his way into a Bexley unit last night, July 2.
Police said the man had a rock and threatened a woman 21, and two other people, 18.
He barricaded himself inside by the time police arrived but was arrested without incident at 2.15am.
The unit had major damage including a toilet being thrown out of a back window.
Police said it was a random attack and the man was not known to the unit residents.
St George Superintendent Dave O’Donohue said the man had admitted to being on ‘‘ice’’.
‘‘As you’ve heard from the commissioner, this is a concerning drug for the community and needs to addressed,’’ he said.
‘‘I think it demonstrates the propensity for violence for some of the people affected by ice.
Police said they knew the man who lived in a St George suburb.
