JOHN Doyle has quite possibly coached more young footballers than anyone else in Australia.
The former Socceroo will be part of the Sports Camps Australia three-day school holiday junior football clinics that start this Wednesday at Woolooware Oval. Doyle, 69, represented Australia in 1970 and has an impressive list of players on his coaching resume, including Socceroos legend Tim Cahill and Cronulla's Chris Ikonomidis.
The FFA Hall of Fame inductee and the first host of the Captain Socceroo television show said he enjoyed coaching young players. "It's important to know how to do things in stages," he said.
"I've been coaching for about 48 years and I know with the right kind of progression kids can do magic things."
