New state MPs have been welcomed at a reception given by Rockdale-based community organisation the Order of AHEPA (Australasian Hellenic Educational Progressive Association) of NSW.
The new members from both sides of politics included Steve Kamper (Rockdale) and Eleni Petinos (Miranda), both of whom have Greek heritage.
MLCs David Clarke and Sophie Cotsis hosted the event at Parliament House, where certificates of congratulations were also presented to Chris Minns (Kogarah MP) and Courtney Houssos (upper house).
Hellenic consul-general Dr Stavros Kyrimis and AHEPA NSW grand president John Kallimanis were among those present.
Oatley MP Mark Coure presented AHEPA NSW grand secretary Dr Panayiotis Diamadis with a St George Community Award in recognition of the order's contributions to the local community in education and philanthropy.
