A man, 34, will face court today after he barricaded himself in a Bexley unit on Thursday, July 2.
Police said the man went to the Caledonian Street unit armed with a rock and threatened a woman 21, and two other people, 18.
He barricaded himself inside by the time police arrived but was arrested without incident at 2.15am.
The unit sustained major damage including a toilet being thrown out a back window.
Police said it was a random attack and the man was not known to the unit residents.
St George police Superintendent Dave O’Donohue said the man had admitted to being on ‘‘ice’’.
He was taken to hospital for assessment and has since been released back into police custody.
He was charged with destroying or damaging property and will appear in Sutherland Court today.
