A Sylvania man will face court today after 21 rugs were stolen from a Ramsgate shop on Monday, July 6.
At 3.10am on Monday a store in Rocky Point Road was broken into with cash and 21 rugs stolen.
Following investigations, police on Tuesday used a search warrant at a house in Ramu Close at Sylvania.
Police said during the search they found eight rugs, power tools, cash, ‘‘ice’’, cannabis, and prescription drugs.
A man, 24, was arrested at the scene and taken to Miranda police station.
He was charged with break and enter, dealing with property suspected of being proceeds of crime, receiving stolen property, and drug offences.
He has been refused bail to appear in Sutherland Court today, July 8.
Investigations are continuing.
