Let's give credit where it's due.
Congratulations to Sutherland Shire Council for their maintenance of the cycling path from Captain Cook Drive near Shark Park through to Mangrove Lane, Taren Point.
Recently council staff have cut back overhanging trees and bushes, tidied the area generally and spread bark and other mulch along the path.
The ride through there is beautiful and again promotes the shire as an environment that cares and caters for its community and visitors.
The path is used by joggers/walkers with dogs and many parents with children.
Additionally it gets cyclists (like me and many others) off the roads which would please many motorists I suspect.

As a regular social bike rider, I want to congratulate Sutherland Shire Council on its recent clean-up and improvements to the road to Kurnell and up to Cape Solander.
Having a path clear of overhanging branches, debris and broken glass (especially beer bottles) allows us to use the path safely and keeps us off the roadways.
Hundreds of amateur and pro cyclists use the shire paths and the shoulders of roadways, and appreciate the efforts of the council to keep this clean and safe for all.
Keep up the good work Sutherland Shire Council.
