'Keep the Leader'
That's a nice way of saying they want to increase profit. Flippantly, there was the throw-away line: "Consequently, there will be job losses."

Corporations have a duty to care for the common good and not merely focus on the pursuit of financial gain and profit.
Do not ruin a newspaper which highlights magnificently the local issues, the injustices, the sporting highlights, the political opinion, the environmental devotees, the extraordinary contributions of residents made so personal, the calls to social justice, the comment on council DAs and the like — all these only touch upon leadership of the Leader we take so often for granted.
Keep the jobs; keep the Leader.
Monsignor Brian Rayner, Gymea

They rely on the Leader to promote the many stories about young people and teachers. Students and parents take great pride in reading about their schools in this highly regarded paper.
