OATLEY MP Mark Coure is calling on local organisations to seek funding under the next round of the Youth Opportunities Program.
The program provides grants to organisations to deliver youth-driven community projects that have a positive development focus.
Up to $1 million will be awarded to projects that engage young people to lead and increase community participation.
Mr Coure said the government was encouraging organisations and community groups to submit projects aimed at empowering and increasing the confidence of young people across the state to reach their full potential.
"This is the government supporting grass-roots projects focused on making a positive difference to the lives of many young people, including those from Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, disadvantaged youth and those with a disability," Mr Coure said.
Since the program was launched in 2012, almost $6 million has been granted to more than 85 youth development projects.
Information relating to the program guidelines, the application process and workshop dates is available at www.youth.nsw.gov.au.
Online applications open on Monday
and close on August 31.
