Overhanging trees
On July 21, council trees were trimmed along the length of Freya Street, Kareela. However, and I don't care whether it was done by council or Ausgrid, one of those trees was clearly left unbalanced and overhanging the roadway.
This is a danger to motorists, pedestrians, parked cars and children crossing from the nearby park.
The photo (above) shows the danger clearly. You don't have to be an qualified arborist to see the problem.
Why didn't the workmen who were there trimming all the other trees do something to fix this potential problem?
Mayor Kent Johns: I not interested in your demarcation disputes. It's your job, as our mayor, to do everything you can to address obvious public safety threats such as this.
So stop the finger pointing, mayor Johns. Remove this tree before there is a tragedy. Just do it.

There seems to be no common sense. Why can't Ausgrid communicate with the council and inform them when a tree has become so misshapen that it becomes a danger to the public?
