ROCKDALE residents will feast on some of the state's tastiest treats as part of a fresh food market at Swallow Coffee on Saturday.
Swallow Coffee owner Peter Bosevski said the market would include fresh produce from across the state.
"The event is to educate customers and the wider community about local foods from Australian producers and farmers and it's a good way to support the smaller producers," Mr Bosevski said.
"Since the loss of the Rockdale laneway markets last year, this is another way of bringing community together over good food and music."
There will be a free cheese tasting from Meredith Dairy and South Coast Cheese and samples of hand-picked Shoalhaven olives and olive oil from Kangaroo Valley. Meat-eaters will love the smoked chicken and salmon from Eden.
The cafe has been a cultural hub since it opened, attracting foodies and artists alike.
It held a pop-up gallery over a week in June for artists from the area and across Sydney.
