THERE have been chinks in St George Illawarra's armour over the past seven weeks.
Seven straight losses, many of them narrowly, have seen the Dragons slip from fourth to 10th on 20 competition points.
Unless the team starts winning in the next few weeks the players will be watching the finals from the sidelines.
There are six games remaining for Dragons coach Paul McGregor and the team to start firing.
The Dragons have missed the finals in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
The last time they made the play-offs was in 2011.
Perhaps donning the ISC Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man jersey this Sunday against the Newcastle Knights, at Jubilee Oval, at 2pm, could be the trick.
English international five-eighth Gareth Widdop has already figured in the Iron Man promotional shoots.
He is one of the key men in this Sunday's round 21 clash.
The Knights had their own dramas this week with coach Rick Stone sacked and former hooker Danny Buderus appointed caretaker coach.
Widdop said the Dragons have to stay positive.
"The group of players in our squad remains confident we can start winning but we need to fix our attack," he said.
"There were too many passes against Melbourne that went on the ground."
