St George police are investigating a suspicious fire at Youi’s Kebabs, Rockdale earlier today, July 30.
Emergency services were called to the Tramway Arcade shop at 4am.
NSW Fire and Rescue crews put out two small fires inside.
No one was injured.
A crime scene was established and St George police believe the fire was lit deliberately.
When the Leader went to the site this morning, the shop's shutters were closed.
Nearby shop owners said the shop had been blocked off by police during the morning as forensic officers combed the site.
The shop had previously been a chicken shop with neighbours saying the current owners had been at the site since last year.
