A giant inflatable Minion escaped its moorings, causing traffic chaos in an outer suburb of Dublin on Monday.
More than 10 metres high, the inflatable character blew across a busy road before falling into oncoming traffic, according to witnesses.
Witness Erin Van Londen told The Irish Times the escaped Minion gave motorists a shock.
"I'm not sure how it got loose but I just saw it coming loose and flying across the road as we were driving," she said.
"It's been very windy in the area."
Ms Van Londen contacted the police about the escapee, saying: "It was quite an odd thing to have to report."
A car suffered minor damage and the incident caused traffic problems before the Minion was deflated and taken away in a wheelbarrow.
Dublin councillor Paul McCauliffe warned the runaway Minion might have caused more serious consequences and has referred the incident to Dublin City Council planning authorities.

"Fairground events and festivals are really important in bringing footfall to our city villages but even the smallest events have health and safety conditions," he said in a statement.
"I have asked the Council to provide me with a report on the incident and for the operators of the fairground to be interviewed by council officials."
The Minions are popular characters from the Despicable Me movies and appeared in their own self-titled film this year.
