Upgrade imperative
You don't have to be a rocket scientist to realise that upgrading of this road from Heathcote through to Moorebank would create a final piece of what could become a ring road for Sydney, by connecting Princes Highway to the M5, M7 and M2 for exit at Pennant Hills Road.
This would also improve movement of south-to-west traffic dramatically.
It's not as though land resumption is needed, as Heathcote Road passes through state and federal government- owned land.
Maybe it has to do with the fact there are no housing developments along its path — so there is no benefit for government from potential voters.
Many promises have been made, but no action.
Funny how Camden Valley Way is being duplicated along its length, and all due to housing developments along the path.
No such luck for Heathcote Road.
Too many people have lost their lives on this wretched stretch already. How many more will it take?
Make Drew Cullen's family and all the others feel lives were not wasted, and that they can at least have left a legacy to prevent senseless loss of more lives.
