SYDNEY Kings have always believed developing basketball at club, schools and association level is crucial for the sport's development.
The 2015-16 National Basketball League season starts on Saturday, October 10.
And two of their top players Jason Cadee and Steve Markovic were at Taren Point Public School on Friday for a coaching clinic.
The one-hour clinic involved games and coaching tips for the students.
Sydney Kings media manager Linden Smith-Hyde said the clinic went well.
"The players ran a variety of different skill-based drills as well as having a bit of fun with a variety of games," he said.
"The players finished their visit with a talk to the students before giving out some prizes."
Smith-Hyde said the Kings have a strong relationship with schools in the St George region and the shire.
"We do a lot of clinics and visits with the schools and work closely with the St George and Sutherland associations."
The Kings play Cairns Taipans at Qantas Credit Union Arena, Haymarket in their opening game on Saturday, October 10.
