Miranda police are are urging residents to let them know if they think their mail has been stolen.
Police put the call out after a Cronulla woman, 28, was arrested earlier this month after police found stolen mail and credit cards.
Sutherland police arrested the woman on Tuesday, August 18, and during a search found a electronic swipe card belonging to an apartment from the Quest Hotel, Cronulla.
Miranda police then searched a self-contained unit at Cronulla at 12.15pm on Wednesday, August 19.
They were alerted by staff after the guest had not checked out on time.
Police found a large amount of opened and unopened mail in different names, laptop computers, credit cards, drivers’ licences, passports and many boxes of perfume.
Police said the woman used the stolen identification and credit cards to finance her crime spree.
They are calling on residents who live in Miranda, Caringbah, Cronulla and Sylvania Waters to let them know if they think their mail has been stolen.
