As parents of the Bosco boys with shaved heads we confirm that neither the three boys involved or their families made any contact with The Leader or social media in regard to this issue.
The college handled the matter in a discreet, fair and compassionate manner consistent with the code of behaviour and the values of the school, which are precisely the reasons we send our children to Bosco.
Our boys have been treated in a caring and supportive manner by both the staff and students as the backlash of this has escalated to an entirely different agenda that is being used to put our school down.
Although the boys didn’t intend any disrespect, they acknowledge that they didn’t adhere to school uniform policy and apologise to the Principal, teachers and students of Bosco College for any distress caused through their action.
We are entirely aware of Bosco’s outstanding record of support and fundraising efforts toward the prevention and cure of cancer. We are proud of our school and feel very privileged to be a member of St John Bosco College. We stand in full support of our school.
