BLAKEHURST Public School pupils are fine tuning their performances in the lead-up to their two-night drama showcase.
The school will present two Cinderella-themed plays this month.
Pupils from kindergarten to year 6 have worked all year in preparation for the shows.
This year's infants play is "Cinders and Ashes", on at 6pm, September 8 in the school hall.
It tells the story of Cinders and her twin brother Ashes who live with their cruel step-family.
More than anything else, they dream of being able to see their favourite soccer team play in the cup final.
Primary pupils will present a musical pantomime "Cinderella and Rockerfella" at 6pm on September 15.
Centre stage is Prince Charming, who has been enjoying rockstar life, but realises it is not all fame, fun and fortune.
He longs for the simple life and to fall in love with the girl of his dreams.
This is the second year of the school's drama program, which is led by teacher Lisa Wheeler.
"Drama gives students the opportunity to express themselves, to learn how to work together as a member of a team and to develop confidence and creativity," she said.
Tickets are available from the school office.
