Twelve Bali police officers including the Kuta police chief have now been implicated in the Australian buck's night bribe scandal.
Bali police spokesman Hery Wiyanto said the officers were paraded before their colleagues at a routine morning briefing on Thursday as part of a humiliation process and then forced to stand two hours in the sun.
"They stand there in front of their colleagues, as an embarrassment to the force," Mr Hery said.
Sixteen Melbourne men attending the buck's weekend of former model Mark Ipaviz in February were allegedly forced to pay a bribe of up to $25,000 after hiring strippers at an upmarket venue in Seminyak.
Mr Hery said eight officers, including the Kuta police chief, had received money and another four officers knew about the case but didn't report it to their superior at Denpasar Police.
All cases have to be reported but this one was excluded from the periodic report.
The day before the police admitted to accepting the bribes, Kuta police chief Deddy Januartha had called a press conference and denied any of his officers had taken bribes.
Mr Hery said the initiative to extort the money had come from the unit chief of the criminal department.
However he said the officers had only admitted to receiving a total of about 20 million rupiah ($AUD2000).
Mr Hery said the officers' punishment would be determined by a court.
Possible punishments included imprisonment for up to 21 days, verbal warnings, demotions or being fired from the force.
The officers may also be asked to apologise to the victims.
The case will take a maximum of three months to process.
Members of the buck's night party, which included nightclub owner Nick Russian and celebrity hairdresser Joey Scandizzo, were also allegedly pistol whipped and shocked with Taser guns by private security guards at the Seminyak venue.
However, Mr Hery said no formal complaint had ever been received from the buck's party and therefore these allegations would not be investigated.
The police were interrogated after the Indonesian embassy in Australia reported a strong social media backlash when Fairfax Media revealed the corruption allegations in June.
"Polda Bali (Bali police) will take firm actions in accordance to the law and regulations," Mr Hery said.
He said the buck's night party had been held at a private venue and not in public and therefore officially the men could not be charged with anything.
"Not even under the law for pornography," he said. "They should have been released in the first place."
