Sutherland Shire Council advertises development of a residential flats building at 6-14 Urunga Rd Miranda (DA15/0947).
They don't say it's eight storeys high with 80 units.
It will tower over every property in the area; privacy will be lost; it will be an eyesore and create more parking problems in the area. For a massive development like this people should know what is proposed to be built, so they can comment.
A residential flats building can be anything.
Keep the area to three storeys and looking good for everyone.

Re "MP wants more high-rise units" (Leader, September 24).
Wrong, Lee Evans and Kent Johns.
We do not want Engadine to become another Hurstville.
There must be better people-friendly and environment-friendly solutions to the housing shortage.
We came to live in Engadine 44 years ago when there was no postal service, no bus service and no sewerage service.
Is there a reason why young people now need to live in expensive, highly developed suburbs?
