A P-Plater has been charged after he was caught driving 132 km/h in a 60 km/h zone at Kyeemagh on Sunday.
Police said they recorded the man’s BMW speeding at 10.30pm along General Homes Drive.
The 21-year-old was issued with a field court attendance notice for driving at a speed dangerous to the public and exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.
His licence was suspended and confiscated.
It comes as NSW Police urge motorists to slow down and arrive home safely this long weekend.
Operation Slowdown was launched on Friday and will continue until 11.59pm tonight.
So far, police attached to Operation Slowdown have conducted more than 163,000 breath tests, resulting in 127 drink-driving charges.
Officers have also issued 9142 traffic infringement notices, including 3958 for speeding offences.
