A FORMER Caringbah High School student has turned heads with her artwork which was selected for display at the Dubbo Regional Gallery at the Western Plains Cultural Centre.
Carla Elizabeth Jamieson's drawing (pictured) was chosen to be part of a collection by last year's HSC visual-arts students.
The public exhibition, open to November 22, is part of the 32nd ArtExpress, a display of the best works of art by students from government and non-government schools across NSW for last year's HSC.
Carla's work, Surrender, explores the intimacy and familiarity of sleep and notions of dreaming.
Of the 219 works chosen for exhibits state-wide — almost 400 were submitted — only 29 were selected for inclusion in the Dubbo Regional Gallery exhibition.
Students' works will be displayed alongside some of the finest artworks from Australia and around the world.
