A severe weather warning has been issued for Sydney with damaging winds expected overnight.
The Bureau of Meteorology said a vigorous southerly change is expected to reach the South Coast overnight before moving north to Sydney on Wednesday morning.
Winds are forecast to reach 65 km/h with gusts of 90 km/h likely along the coast.
The State Emergency Service advises people to move their cars under cover, secure loose items and to keep clear of fallen power lines.
