MUAY Thai competitor Mariah Stewart-Mulipola has one national title belt to her credit.
In 2014, Mariah, won the Australian national titles event in the 48-51 kilogram class, 15-17 years category.
The Monterey girl is now chasing a second national belt.
Mariah, 15, of Monterey, heads to Queensland's Gold Coast for the 2015 Australian National titles to be held on Saturday and Sunday, with one thing on her mind — and that is another victory.
If she does, Mariah will be a member of the Australian Muay Thai team for the 2016 World Titles in Sweden from May 19 to May 29 in the city of Jonkoping
Mariah said wearing the green and gold colours of Australia would make her very proud.
Mariah is recently back from the 2015 world titles held in Thailand.
Mariah was up against older girls competing in the 16-18 years category.
"I won a bronze medal which I was very pleased about," she said.
"I was very happy with winning the bronze.
"I exceeded my own expectations and want to go the 2016 world titles now and try and win a gold medal."
The Blakehurst High School year 10 student said winning this year's 2015 Australian national title is her goal.
"If I win, I go to the world titles in Sweden," she said.
"I have trained very hard since I got back from Thailand.
"I am training five days a week."
Mariah is tutored by Tony Favuzzi at the Tapain Thay Gym at Mortdale.
She said Favuzzi is a great teacher with his guidance.
The 162-centimetre tall athlete started out in muay Thai when she was seven.
