St George Illawarra Dragons have signed Josh McCrone and Kalifa Fai Fai Loa for the 2016-17 seasons.
McCrone, who can play halfback, five-eighth and hooker, was granted a release from the final year of his contract with Canberra.
Powerful winger Fai Fai Loa, 25, played two games in the 2010 NRL season with the Dragons before spending three years at the North Queensland Cowboys (2011-13) and then with Gold Coast Titans (2014-15).
‘‘Josh is a skilled player who will add valuable experience in the dummy-half position," Dragons director of recruitment and retention Peter Mulholland told Fairfax Media.
‘‘He possesses a smart kicking game as well as speed off the mark.’’
The Dragons begin pre-season training in early November.
In other Dragons news, five-eighth Gareth Widdop and prop Mike Cooper are in the England squad for their upcoming internationals against France and New Zealand.
England will play three Tests against New Zealand.
The first Test is on November 1 at KC Stadium, Kingston upon Hull.
