HURSTVILLE'S Discovery Festival of Community Arts has been in full swing since October 10, with many well-attended events come and gone.
The festival runs until November 7 and there is still plenty to see.
Friday
The inaugural St George Arts and Cultural Network forum at Hurstville Entertainment Centre; 4pm to 7pm. Cost: $10.
Also on the same day — the music theatre performance of the Fiestaville Choir's Amulet at Hurstville Civic Theatre; 7pm to 8.30pm. Cost $10/$5.
Saturday
Australian Macedonian Cinema Days, Hurstville Civic Theatre. Includes directing workshop, short films and features; 10am to 10pm. Cost $10.
Sunday
A musical tribute to the WWI Anzacs and a commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII. Starts 2pm at Mortdale RSL Club, Macquarie Place, Mortdale. Cost: Gold coin donation with proceeds going to Legacy.
Sunday
Fiestaville song and dance night featuring Kengugro Hungarian dancers and music at Hurstville Seniors and Community Centre ; 5pm to 8.30pm. Cost $20/$10.
November 7
Community writing day at Hurstville Library with Hurstville Discovery Writers Group. The day will start at 11am with a poetry workshop with poet and writer Cynthia Rowe. The day ends with a Literary Awards Presentation.
