Former Cronulla Sharks player John Morris has been announced as the head coach of the club’s Holden Cup team for the 2016 season.
Morris, who earned 300 NRL caps during his career, enjoyed a successful year as head of the Sharks High Performance Unit and Academy, contributing to the success of the SG Ball and Harold Matthews sides in winning both state and national championships.
Cronulla have also signed back-rower Joseph Paulo from Parramatta on a two-year-deal, while Anthony Tupou is expected to join Wakefield in the English Super League.
Paulo joins James Maloney, Jesse Sene-Lefao, Chad Townsend and Ipswich Jets signings Kurt Capewell and Josh Cleeland as the club’s main recruits for next season.
