SUTHERLAND Shire clubs dominated at the annual Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club short course carnival at Cronulla Beach on Saturday.
In the overall point score Cronulla (720) won from Wanda in second (586), North Cronulla in third (519) and Elouera in fourth (456).
"That is a great result for the local clubs," carnival convener Greg Allum said.
Eighteen clubs participated in the club point score race.
Allum said participants from eight to over 40 turned out.
He said there were several feature events at the carnival with Jim Walker of North Bondi winning the male division of the Vici Shark Island race.
The 1996 Atlanta Olympian prevailed while Carla Papac of the Cronulla club won the female race.
Will Budd of North Cronulla won the men's ironman event while Papac won the open ironwoman.
Cronulla also won both the male and female all ages relays.
"The 2015 carnival was a huge success," Allum said.
"We look forward to another big event in 2016."
