CREATIVITY was the buzz word at Rockdale Public School across three days this month.
The school's first "creativity festival" (November 24-26) was a chance for pupils to display their creative skills outside of the classroom. It stemmed from the school's traditional performing arts festival and focuses on developing each child's creative "voice", through dancing, art, drumming, Lego construction, martial arts and film.
Community liaison officers from Rockdale Council provided workshops for children, and helped them build confidence in expressing creative ideas.
School principal Mark Steed said it was an exciting project.
