CRONULLA parkrun is a free weekly five-kilometre community event for runners of all standards.
It starts at 7am on Saturday at Don Lucas Reserve, Mitchell Rd, Cronulla.
Organisers said it wasn’t a race against other runners, rather a five kilometre timed run where participants can make it part of their training and fitness plan, or for people who want to have some leisurely exercise and fun.
Cronulla parkrun Sydney South territory director Damon Bray said people can register at http://www.parkrun.com.au/cronulla/
Bray, of Oyster Bay, said he expected the Cronulla parkrun to take off in the same way as the Menai parkrun, which started in December last year.
