Fusion nightclub at Cronulla and Miranda Hotel are on the latest list of the state’s most violent venues.
The state government list shows 16 incidents were recorded at Fusion over 12 months, and 12 incidents at Miranda Hotel.
Fusion is new to the list, although it has been on it in the past, and must comply with level two restrictions from December 8.
Restrictions applying to Fusion and Miranda Hotel include ceasing to serve alcohol 30 minutes before closing, no breakable glasses after midnight and alcohol time-outs for 10 minutes ever hour after midnight.
Deputy Premier and Police minister Troy Grant said violent incidents in listed venues throughout the state had dropped by 84 per cent since the scheme began.
Mr Grant said there had been 200 violent incidents across 14 venues compared to 1270 incidents across 48 venues on the first list in 2008.
The latest list has Sydney’s Ivy nightclub dropping down to level two restrictions and the Sydney Cricket Ground Trust (including Allianz Stadium) as the first sporting venue to be listed as violent.
Ivy has previously been listed as a level one violent venue for the last four years.
The SCG Trust accumulated 12 incidents (4 NRL, 3 cricket, 2 rugby, 2 AFL and 1 soccer) over the last financial year, placing it on level two restrictions.
“The vast majority of venues act responsibly and take their obligations seriously,” Mr Grant said.
