I have read with interest all the objections to the widening of the footpath at Gerrale Street, Cronulla, and totally agree with all but one, who thinks it's a great idea.
Footpaths are for walking on, not eating — restrictions at these venues include no smoking and no dogs allowed.
Yet their customers sit there gulping petrol and diesel fumes while eating their meal, not to mention sunstroke in the hot Aussie sun.
This is Australia and is not the continent.
Stop adopting their ideas and show visitors, Aussie as it is, or are we now ashamed of our country?
