CHILDREN from Giggles Early Learning Centre, Bexley, performed for the residents of the Bupa Aged Care centre in celebration of Childcare Week last Wednesday.
More than a dozen children sang songs and performed dances for the elderly residents.
They also wore pedometers to calculate their steps in support of the Bupa walking challenge that raises money for Alzheimer's Australia.
Mariam Hammoud, a supervisor at Giggles Early Learning Centre, said it was a great opportunity for the children to interact with elderly members of the community.
"Every month we take about 15 children to the aged care facility to entertain the residents with their singing and dancing," she said.
"We usually have morning tea as well. The children absolutely love going and interacting with the residents."
