Ninety-three victims of food poisoning from a Miranda bakery have been treated at Sutherland Hospital.
A further number, yet to be quantified, attended St George Hospital.
The combined number is expected to be well over 100.
The South Eastern Sydney Area Health Service released updated figures on Wednesday, calculated from Friday January 22.
A spokeswoman said the number of people admitted to hospital had not risen above 13.
She said figures for St George Hospital would take longer to determine as there was more chance of some cases being unrelated.
On Tuesday, the area health service said about 40 people had attended the two hospitals, and 13 were admitted.
The father of one young victim disputed the figures, saying hospital staff had told him the number was closer to 100.
Box Village Bakery, which faces Corea Street and is within the boundaries of Miranda, remains closed.
A spokeswoman for the NSW Food Authority said officers visited the business on Monday and issued a prohibition order, preventing the sale of all food.
“The prohibition order remains in effect until a certificate of clearance is issued, which means the NSW Food Authority conducts an inspection of the business and is satisfied the premises are compliant with food safety laws and fit to trade,” she said.
“Environmental and food samples have been taken from the premises and are in the process of being tested.
“The NSW Food Authority is undertaking further investigation of the bakery, while this investigation is open and ongoing we are unable to comment further.
“Anyone who suspects they may have food poisoning should seek medical attention.
“If anyone has a food safety concern or complaint they should contact their local council or the NSW Food Authority helpline on 1300 552 406.”
